Brianne & Jackson Gettin' Hitched

My little sister Brianne is getting married! She met a great guy named Jackson this summer and they just hit it off. Everything is going so fast and we've been BUSY planning a wedding in such a short amount of time. It's still crazy to believe that my little Bri is "of age" and that she's going to be somebody's wife. She is a great example to me and I love her to death. I hope her day is the fairytale she's always wanted. :)

Zucchini! - Updated

Okay, so my post before about how wonderful my zucchini garden is and I'm just so excited about it all...Times have changed, and now I want to burn it all. I have zucchini coming off the roof - there's so much. I've never grown it before, but apparently I have magical soil that will grow the stuff from an inch to nine inches in a day. I planted 19 plants. Okay, so I didn't know!! Troy comes home from work and asks me if I've picked the zucchini yet, and I just want to run away! I don't go out there anymore to look at it. There's too too much!!! I'm seriously scared to go out there. I don't know what to do with it all. People want it, but only like two at a time. That's simply not enough!! My counter doesn't have enough room for it. We have it all the time. AND we went out to Marie Callender's dinner the other night after Troy's cousin was sealed in the temple (we're so proud of you Marcus & Becky!), and what in the crap did I order?? ZUCCHINI!!! I was sooo mad. I actually PAID for the stuff!? What in the heck was I thinking!? I have no idea but I wanted to cry the whole way home. At least I got pie. Anyway, zucchini sucks.

Catchin' Up On All the Fun...

It hasn't been that long since my last post, but we've done a lot. Here is just a bit of what we've been up to. We went to Lagoon a couple weeks ago with Troy's sister Lynn and family and her friend Michelle and family. It was a lot of fun with the kiddo's. Tyson REALLY loved it there. I thought he might have a little bit of a motion sickness going to happen because he's thrown up in the car a few times while we were driving, but he did awesome! He loved most all of the rides. The swinging chairs he wasn't too fond of.

Here is a picture of Tyson and his cousin Brayden flying the airplane. I love the cute kid rides. We never went to them while growing up because we just did the adult ones. Well, I'm sure we did, I just don't remember. I love that they have them. It's so much fun to see your little baby having the time of his life.

Here is a picture of Troy and his nephew Steven going on the Catapult ride - twice. I was so nervous because we don't have life insurance for him. ;) Troy loves those kind of dare devil rides. No way I'm going on them... Below is a picture of Troy and Tyson riding the dragon ride (in the very back). Tyson was yelling "yay, yay, yay!!" the whole time.

Our baby boy Logan being as cute as ever just hanging out in the stroller.

This is Tyson on the bumper cars...he was crying because the "big" kids kept bumping into him and he couldn't move his car. He just stayed put the whole time...he tried to get our half-way and try a different car.
My uncle David and his new wife Michelle came up to see us from California. They were going to drive his new Harley the whole way but thought it would be a bit too hot. Oh yeah, it's a sweet bike. We all went up to Deer Valley (Park City) where my Aunt Shirley & Uncle Jeff have a condo their remodeling. It's so beautiful up there.

Tyson was in a gymnastic class this summer. He mostly thought that it was just a time to play around with his cousins Ethan & Sophia and friends. It was pretty cute to watch him every week. Especially the stretching....soooo adorable!

Troy's family had their yearly reunion at Cherry Hills water park & campground. This was first year that we were able to attend. Here is some pictures of Tyson chugging down some fruit punch. Gotta love camping....and afterward using up a whole bottle of Spray & Wash on all our clothes.

Zucchini!

My first garden - all by myself. Okay, so it's not that spectacular because it's just zucchini and that's the easiest thing to grow, but I was still so proud! I have a billion zucchini so if anyone wants some awesome ORGANIC zucchini, please come get some! Troy is going to go insane because I've tried so many different zucchini recipes lately. Dinner consists of at least two kinds - and he hates zucchini. Except I made THE BEST zucchini brownies the other day and I think they're my favorite brownie recipe to date now. Delish! This picture is of the first picks that we had. Every day after that, we've picked about this much each time.

Stake Anniversary - 10 years!

Troy, Brianne, Logan, Holly, & Brooks...

Okay, so you've probably never heard of this before....our stake had a HUGE celebration (we called it a Jubilation) for being a stake for 10 years. I know, don't ask. But they had all sorts of stuff going on at the park for the event. We brought our KFC and had a family picnic, there was a band playing, a talent show, candy canon, face painting, tons of kids activities, and a SPECTACULAR firework show! I mean, a really really good firework show. So we have a few very wealthy people in our ward that funded that part. It was better than the cities firework display. We brought the whole gang to it and had a really good time.

Tyson with his mac n' cheese face.
Here's a picture of us all trying to get the candy from the candy canon. I love Phillip's face. Givin' that kid a crusty. We had to tackle a few kids to get the goods for our babes. I think we were the only adults that were in the line up that would run for the candy instead of our kids. It was all for the cause.

July 4th Weekend!

We had a BLAST this 4th of July Weekend! It started off with us saving a spot of the parade in Provo. We staked off early to get a good spot in some shade. Brianne, Cristyn, and some friends were planning on sleeping over at our spot that night. We found out that someone had taken our spot later that night so I can to come down there at one in the morning to open up a can on someone. I was sooo mad!! Luckily, a really nice lady with a massive spot let all of the fam sit with her. That parade went well and we had the whole gang there. Here are a few pics of the event...

We got up early to see the balloon fest but we were a little late and they had to start even earlier because of the hot weather. It was fun still, but boys were a little out of it.Later that day, we went up to my Uncle Danny's house for a BBQ and games. It was great to see everybody and all the kids all grown up. Here are some pictures of it. Jared & Laura came too with their new baby girl named Lily. She is sooo precious. Jared just melts when he's with her. It's really cute.

This is Tyson and his second cousin Jocelyn. They were sooo adorable together just playin' around in their backyard.

On Sunday, it was my mom's birthday so we all went to the park and had a picnic together. It was the perfect weather for a picnic. Not too hot, not too cold with a slight breeze. Here's Tyson chasing Grandpa around. This is how Dad gets his workouts....chasing the grand kids. Tyson LOVES running so we're thinking he's probably going to be a runner...

Tyson and Cristyn throwing rocks into the creek at the park.

Happy Birthday Mom!!!!!

The kids torturing Grandpa...

A Campin' We Will Go...

We finally did it! After a long time coming we finally got our camper put together and ready to go camping! Troy worked VERY hard getting it ready. It's an old trailer that's been his Troy's family for a while now. We bought it from his sister Lynn a few months ago. Troy fixed some paneling that had major water damage, put a new fan in, fixed the battery, patched a hole in the roof, put in new tail lights, and together we reupholstered the whole thing! This was a pretty big project for us and took a lot of hours. For those of you who know, yeah, I failed sewing in High School so this was pretty exciting. Here is a picture I snuck in of Troy sewing (reupholstering as he wants me to put it). It's cute. He's very good at everything. I can't believe how great he is at fixing things around the house and even sewing! It's incredible.

We went up American Fork Canyon to a couple spots. It was so beautiful up there. I just love the fresh air that you get camping. Here is a picture of our camper - we call her CAT. I'm not going to say what that stands for...

Okay, for all those out there that will get offended, please turn your head and skip this picture. Troy is carving our initials into an Aspen for the very first (and probably last) time. It was romantic :) Tyson's doing an awesome dance move.

It was incredibly gorgeous up there and we can't wait to do it again.

Crazy Fun Week...

Four-wheeling with Phillip, Beau, & Tyson.

Holly taking the kids. It's so peaceful down there. We played horseshoes in their backyard and had s'mores at night. It was a really nice vacation and we were thrilled to see where Phillip and his family lived.

Adorable Logan chillin' on the blanket.

Smile Brooks!

Here is a picture down in Capitol Reef National Park by Phillip's. It's so beautiful! We had a blast there.
